You have a dual axle trailer. So, you will need 2 left side and 2 right side brake assemblies if you decide to change out the complete assembly. If just replacing the shoes, you may be able to find these at an auto parts store. Dexter would be good for the part numbers.

Your brakes on the RV are electric brakes. There are 2 wires coming out of the axle tube at each wheel, connected to the back of the plate. The link I gave you has the brakes for your rig. If you are going to change the wheel assemblies, contact Dexter for the correct parts would be the easiest since this is your first time buying parts.

Since you are going to have the tires off, might as well as do a bearing repack job on it. The bearings and seal you can get at an auto parts store. Take the old set with you and have them match the numbers on the parts.

The last time I did brakes was a while ago on my previous 5th wheel. I wanted to upgrade to self adjusting brakes so I bought the complete assembly with the backing plate and a set of drums. Very easy swap out.

I don't know how good current pricing is, but at the time I got them at etrailer.com. These folks are very helpful if you have a question.
Also might try Trailer Parts Superstore.

He just said he was doing the backing plate.. haha.. touche! I want peace of mind soo the more new the better I feel. (yeah i know new things can break too but i hope if they do i have a warranty still)

Call Dexter and they will tell you what axle you have. I did that when I needed parts for mine. I found a local Dexter supplier and purchased OEM parts from them. Next time I needed parts we were in Maine and I ordered seals from Brakes 4 Trailers, they were easy to work with and competitively priced.

If you know the size of your brakes. You can buy the complete assemblies from Amazon. Their pricing is better than most shops or RV dealers. Its sad they we continue to buy from Amazon but now a days you have to save as much as you can.

I will only buy from Amazon IF its in the USA.. I am tired of getting things 3 weeks later than they say had prime, cancelled it. Back to eBay.

As mentioned, and fairly important, call Dexter, provide them your axle serial number, and ask if you have manual adjust brakes, or forward self adjusting before you buy any parts.

I installed disc brakes after out 3rd brake failure in 4 years. Ended up only$400 more than replacing the brake assemblies and drums.
Wish I did it earlier, what a difference!

I wont purchase items like this from Amazon, I ordered "Dexter" seals from Amazon and it didn't have the Dexter branding on it. Too important to have the right part and not some knock off they claim is OEM.

The last time I bought a sleave of seals they came right from the hand of a Dexter guy.
Packaging says Fusion brand.

Peace
