We are planning on spending a couple of weeks in August in Port Charlotte, FL. Call me crazy!! We would like to stay in a park that has trees for shade. Ramblers Rest is close to our destination, but I have read that the interior roads are tight and narrow and that it can be difficult to park your rig.

Has anyone stayed there and what is your opinion of the roads and the campground?

Thanks in advance.

Stayed there about 3 years ago_Our SOB was 27' site we had was tight for it and under Pine trees=sap on both camper and truck.site I had was between 2 park models and sewer hook up was not meant for camper. Main road thru park not to bad. What I remember is roads a little tight and 1 lane was in winter so more crowded than Aug.

I would check campgroundreviews.com and see what is written and then look for other choices to compare it with. There are some good places in that area that's about 1 hour south of where I stay. We stay at Sun n Fun in Sarasota and love it.
