ATF: Sundance - 2nd A/C Unit

I have a 2010 3200re. Its 93 and one A/C is not cutting the mustard. Will my sundance be able to mount another unit and can I tie it to the exsisting ductwork?

Our 2011 3000RK is wired for 50 amp and pre-wired for the second A/C, I assume that it would go in place of the big vent in the bedroom. Is your unit pre-wired for the second A/C?? Give Heartland a call, just have your vin number when you call and they can give you all the info for the second a/c.

If your bedroom is like my BH you have a vent fan in the bedroom. The A/C will fit into that opening in the roof/ceiling. It should have electric wiring that should work for a 13,500 A/C.

Most likely the A/C output will not be using the airconditioning ducts in the trailer. It will dump out directly into the bedroom.

To be absolutely sure contact HL with your Vin number.

I think it is wired for the second unit. Have fuze slot for it.

Let me rephrase, I have seen the second fuze thing for the A/C somewhere around this trailer. Book, breaker box, or somewhere. I'll do some more digging. It's too late and I've already drank my Irish whiskey allowance for the night. LOL!

In our Sundance if you open the electrical breaker panel it has the breakers already in place and labeled 2nd A/C, is your Sundance a 50 amp unit? Just contact Heartland and they can give you the straight info?

Ours is the same way. I knew I had seen it somewhere. Yes ours is 50amp 3200RE. 2010.

You can put a 2nd A/C unit into the bedroom of your unit, but as you see in this thread, the A/C will be a direct dump into the bedroom. It will not connect to your current duct system. Great question. As others indicated here, if your unit is 50 amp, then there is no issue, but if it is 30 amp, then a second A/C CANNOT be installed. Happy Camping!

Not sure if these pictures help anyone, but this is the Sundance Factory assembly line taken in May 2010. These pictures show the bedroom vent hole from above without the roof installed yet. The 2nd A/C would drop into this hole and the wiring harness is already in place.

Now all you guys that have been around, riddle me this: Is Camping World a trusted source to buy the second A/C unit and do they do a good job on the installation?

Pretty hard not to install it correctly. If you have a 50 amp service the opening and the wiring is already there. Comes down to a matter of best price. For that you need to shop around. In my opinion there might be less expensive places to have one installed..JMHO...Don

Can you install a second AC in the garage of the road warrior 305rw. Is it wired for this also. I know that it is wired is the master bedroom.
