BH 3670 Front A/C still has styrofoam

When I opened up my front A/C on my BH 3670 to get the serial number, I noticed almost everything was encased in styrofoam. Just didn't seem right. Have a call into Dometic, but am I crazy for thinking it got shipped, installed and then the styrofoam didn't get pulled?

We have used it and, other than being loud, works OK. Got a note back from Dometic that said "The Styrofoam is to be on your unit this helps for recirculation of air."
