bighorn 3585RL - awning dilema:(

Im a newbie to this - we adopted our beautiful 2014 3585RL Bighorn just last June- it was love at first sight ! I experienced a problem every time it rained though- the awning over the door and the space between the dining room slide has a gap that makes it impossible to not get wet entering or exiting during the rain I was tempted to throw a tarp up over the gap, but how ugly that would be on our new baby ! Are there any suggestions other than an ugly tarp for the gap or am I the only unfortunate one with this dilema ? Thanks in advance for any tips

Hi Brenda, Welcome to the Heartland Forum & Family.
Sadly, it's the nature of the beast. Pretty much every 5th wheel with the same slide/door/awning location has that gap. I've taken a golf (large) umbrella and rested it over the gap and secured the handle with a bungee. I have a manual awning though. The Electric awning may or may not have a place to secure the umbrella.
