While looking at the specs. on 2012 Heartland BH I saw the below. It's a screen shot of their standard options. Just wondering has Heartland dropped Lippert in favor of Dexter..I can understand why...Maybe.

Yes, I have the Dexter setup on my 2011 BH. No issues so far, with suspension.
Thank you HL for making the switch. Trace

OK, now that Heartland has switched to Dexter should I change to Dexter springs and axles? They look alright now but I hate having trouble on the road...just a thought on preventive maintenance. Anyone have any $$$ knowledge on the swap. I did talk to the shop that does all my axle, brake and spring work. He told me he could just change the axle tubes to Dexter and the brake package and bearings will work fine (inter changeable) on the new Dexter axles..Same bearing brake package for the Dexter. I will also change the spring package...might as well since if I decide to replace the tubes, might as well do the springs too.
BTW, my shop buddy has a 08' BH and said, "as soon as I can I'm getting those Lippert axles changed to Dexter."
What do you think?

Our 2012 Big Country came standard with the Dexter axles. We have a friend who has SOB which had Lippert axles but he changed them out with Dexter stuff he ordered out of Atlanta. Hubby went over to help him change them out which took most of a day. He said he wouldn't recommend doing it yourself but it can be done with a couple of folks, jacks, etc.

We upgraded from Lippert 6K to Dexter 7K. They were preassembled with the hubs and brakes, so it's all new. We upgraded to Trail-Air 7K suspension, mainly because We were afraid of the potentisl lowering of the frame with the dexter EzFlex. We also went with Emco 3500lb springs. About a $2500, installed.

I was quoted about the same to switch to a MorRyde IS system with 7K axles. No more springs, shackles, equalizers and easily adjusted for alignment. No Air Ride to leak or mess with. Trying to figure out what the downside would be. Plus it comes with a 5 year warranty. Pretty sure that's going to be my next stop when we haul it back from Texas. Plus they will adjust the height of my trailer when they install it to get it level...Don

We put Mor/ryde on our 2011 BH. We bought the BH knowing we would be putting the Mor/ryde on ASAP since it came with the Lippert axles and springs and that is all you read about on the forum at that time. We had Mor/ryde on our previous trailer and on our truck, never a problem and a smooth ride. We just looked at it as the cost of a new trailer. There are enough hassles going down the road, we try to limit the amount of potential problems as much a possible.

Thanks for the input..I think I'll keep a close eye on everything and see how it shakes out (no pun intended).
We were very lucky in finding the trailer..I talked to the previous owner...because of sickness, was not able to use the trailer and only made two trips. He had never turned the stove on nor used the central vac. or cleaned the RAC filter. So based on this the springs and axles are like new...
