Domestic refrig

It is normal to have some frost or ice occasionally on the fins inside the fridge. You have a drip or drain tray under the fins and it has the hose hooked to it make the drips go outside the trailer. Just need to make sure you always have the tube outside on the lower vent of the fridge. Check the hose occasionally to make sure it is hooked up and not broken. They are subject heat deterioration and crack or break after a period of time.

Eventually, the frost could "grow" solid between the fins and cause problems with how the fridge performs. We had to "defrost" our fins, after using our rig as housing for 6 mo. Took about 8 hours or so, packed all food in cooler. Put a towel down to absorb water.

Do not use a hair dryer, as I read this can damage the components.

We have frost on condenser coils-is this a problem?
Excessive frost or ice buildup on the fins inside the refrigerator compartment may indicate excess moisture in the fridge. If a 4 door, make sure the flap between the doors is closing fully. Also check seals with a dollar bill. If you close the door on a dollar bill and pull the bill, there should be some drag.

If it's slight frost buildup in the fridge compartment, you may need better air circulation inside.
