Elkridge 38RSRT Black tank won't drain

I have sewage standing in my toilet that won't drain. The black tank monitor reads 1/3, but the black tank appears to be empty. When I open the black tank drain valve, nothing comes out, but when I turn on the black tank flush, I get clean water out of the sewer drain. That would indicate to me that the tank is in fact empty. I ran a snake down the toilet and drain pipe about 4 feet and I hit something solid, like the top of a valve.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

It's not unusual for the gauges not to work, most likely TP on the sensor fill it up and flush it out a couple more times.

Sounds like you have a blockage in the line between toilet and tank. Maybe take a look at how the 3" line runs. Some go pretty straight down; others take sharp turns. If yours takes sharp turns, your snake might be hitting the side of the pipe at a turn.

bobbyd130.........Question for you. I see your in Fl. by any chance are you parked? If so, are you leaving your valve open all the time? If so, keep it closed and only dump when more then 2/3 full or more. Use plenty of water when flushing

Let me get a clearer picture of this. Do you have water/waste standing in the toilet and when you push the foot pedal it will open but not empty? Or is the toilet actually empty, (no waste standing in it),, and you are just going by the indicator light as the tank being 1/3 full?
