Asking the below for a buddy from a ag forum as he's looking for good/bad/ugly on these 2 trucks he's considering. He didn't say 4x4, ex cab air CC, but will assume a 4x4 and CC. Which would suit him best for his needs? Thought this forum would be a better place to ask:

Daily driver. Light towing <3000 pounds -utility trailer. Haul building supplies in the bed but most of driving is empty.

Mix of highway and town roads. No stop and go actual city driving

Mid grade trim. XLT in Ford. SR5 or Limited in Toyota

Haven't owned a Ford for a very long time. and it wasn't an F150. It was a Bronco. It served me well, but had some issues.

Had a 2012 Tundra. Used it for work and pulled a 7000 lb 5th wheel for 4 years. It performed great!

Depending on the engine in the 150...if its to small then the truck will labour.
Toyota .5.7 l is great but they are downsizing their engine as well.
Its personal preference ... both have their goods and bads.

I would recommend the F150 EcoBoost 3.5. It has what I think the best all-around features. Plenty of power and lots of torque. Cargo bed is decent for a crew cab. Comfortable interior. Good gas mileage. The huge plus for me is that it pulls and stops the camper easily.

Now with that said the only thing I miss from my older trucks is the V8 rumble. Other than that, the F150 hands down. My brother has the coyote 5.0 F150 and he doesn't have the torque like the EcoBoost does.

I don't have any personal experience with the Tundra's.

I personally have a 23 F150 Tremor. It has ALL the bells and whistles I would ever need.
