Fiberglass Gelcoat Problem On Slideout

I have a 2008 Sundance 3300SK 5th wheel. It has 3 slides and on the Sofa and Dining Room slide I have a bow or wave in the gelcoat on the slideout about a foot under the middle of the window. I have checked to see if the wall or floor is wet under this area on the inside and it is dry. I bought the trailer a year ago and the previous owner said it has been that way for some time. The wave is about 2' vertically and about 10" wide. Any ideas on what could cause this or appx. cost to repair.

Hi sbholman,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and Family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

It would help a lot if you would post a picture of the slide and damage area. Some of the other family members might be able to help out.

Enjoy the forum.

My advise to you would be to take to a RV repair dealer and get an estimate. Be sure to be sitting down when they hand you the estimate as labor rates for that type of facility are in the neighborhood of $100 and hour. Usually either glue releasing on the gelcoat or water intrusion are the culprits.
