We did the same thing, but only after the grates were breaking on our original covers. The factory supplied covers were too flimsey to hold up to my weight I guess.....Thanks to the Talleys I made a trip to Lowes and bought new heat register covers. They look lot better than what came from the factory.

We put in new metal covers, but had to remove the adjusting fins as the depth was too shallow for the fin ....I replaced all of our registers with the metal adjustable kind. Even though we don't winter camp, the furnace still gets used quite a bit in the beginning and end of our "summer" season, as well as some less than warm summer nights. So far, after four seasons, the furnace hasn't blown up and the rig hasn't burnt down. The scare about restricting airflow is aimed at blocking off the furnace output right at the furnace, not redirecting the air through the ducting system to where it's most needed. If that were the case, my house would have blown up years ago.
Yes they can be regulated....Bob, did you get the ones that you can shut off to regulate air flow??
Most if not all of the Landmarks are 4-10 as well. You don't want to close off any vents other than the bath and bedroom to keep adequate air movement. The ones in our BC were the 4x10's.
Our '14 Cyclone CY3100 has a vent in the bathroom and the MBR, but nothing is coming out of those vents. Only one zone on the Domestic thermostat, fan on auto. Any ideas?
