Hi folks,
My husband and I, we're a senior couple, and we're both new to the ins and outs of what a seasoned RV Owner' knows, we have recently took ownership of this
amazing 5th wheel, we truly appreciate how comfortable it is, what a surprise to us. As 5th wheel owners of Heartland Big Country 3560ss. First, we got to thank GOD, because it took some research, and wading through countless negative and positive reviews and so we know we were blessed to purchase a really nice one, without having so many unsatisfying issues upfront. The truth is, we've learned really quick, about some simple things, concerning the life and ownership of an 5th wheel owner. But our issue puzzles us, and so our question today is that there is no power with our bedside receptacle out the super slide area where there is a receptacle on each side of the wall, beside the bed. What could be the reason for that? We have power all over and everything else seems to work, but not those two receptacles. Before we go taking things apart, we wonder if we could be overlooking, or missing something simple. We have reset the GFI, not sure what this could be, so we certainly would appreciate your assistance, thank you all for taking the time to read this request, and for your attention to detail, in this particular matter, and we are hopeful someone here is able to help us to swiftly resolve this problem, without having to take the unit to a dealer. I am not sure if I have listed everything we've tried, besides replacing the receptacles themselves; oh yeah, upon testing the receptacles, we have not actually tested them with a tester only using them to plug up our phones, that's how we discovered the receptacles didn't work. I would like to know when using a tester, what settings, and how to use it to determine if the receptacles are actually bad, and just need to be replaced, or how to know if the wiring is messed up, we've lifted up the bed, but I am personally clueless as what I am looking for, I can follow the wires, after that, it must be something that starts to get a little uncomfortable mentally for me, I don't want to go taking things apart, that don't need to be, but I believe that mostly covers it. Thanks again, all. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. And a safe and blessed New Year.
