Hot water heater issue

I have had the water heater bypass valve replaced and now I get only room temperature water out of my hot water faucets. I can hear water going into the water heater and the burner fires to heat the water. When I open the relief valve on top of the water heater hot water comes out but no hot water is getting inside. I have the Anderson valve set to CITY. I'm preplexed as to what is going on. It has always worked before and now it is not.

Sounds like you’re mixing cold water with the heated water from the tank.
Check your installation of the replacement bypass valve

if you have an outside shower make sure both valves are closed. Been there!!!!
