How many of you are towing with a short bed truck?

We have a SB F-350 and have a manual slider. It's cheap insurance -- better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it. We in fact need it maybe once a year. When you're trying to get onto a tight campsite it's nice to not have hitting the cab to worry about, with so much else going on in that situation. Works for us.

My thoughts exactly. I use super glide on my F-350.

I just purchased a 2014 Sundance XLT, I tow it with my 07' Silverado 2500 HD Duramax, short bed. I have the Husky 1600K slider, never had to use the slider and was able to back into some incredible tight spots. I'm happy with the hitch, but if I ever need to back into a spot that requires me to roll the slider rearward
so as to not have the cap of the 5th wheel hit the rear of my cab….well, I have what is needed to accomplish the task.
