We have a 2011 Big Country 3250ts which we love, it is a grey color. Last fall we had both front & rear caps painted. However on a trip over Easter I got into some overhanging branches & scratched the front cap & ds wall in front of the bedroom slide out. I was able to buff out the scratches on the clear coated front cap with some polishing compound & a soft cloth, they removed beautifully. Which brings me to the purpose of this post. In trying to remove a mar on the lighter colored sidewall with polishing compound & a cleaner wax I get bad streaks & the soft cloth get almost black. I'm afraid to put an electric buffer to the sidewall in fear of removing the color. Are the sidewalls gel coat fiberglass or what exactly are they finished with? Do any of you have experience in waxing or cleaning sidewalls? I like to keep my rig looking nice & the blotchy look is driving me nuts.
