We stopped at an ODOT weigh station on the way home today. The way (way to many "ways" here... 
) the weights came out was kind of interesting.
Front axle: 3,500lbs
Rear axle: 4,500lbs
Trailer axles: 5,500lbs
Total: 13,500lbs
I'm glad I didn't have bicycles on the back, because that might have been 6,500lbs on the rack... I didn't disconnect to weigh the truck/tongue seperately, and the fresh/gray/black water tanks were empty.
The truck is normally ~6,400 with me inside. Carrying a passenger (~200lbs), 3x dogs (~200lbs), and "portable" kennel (~300lbs) and about 100lbs of "stuff" plus about ~100lbs for the hitch = ~900lbs
8,000lbs truck loading - 6400lbs base - 900lbs payload = ~700lbs.
Assuming everything is somewhat accurate, that means 700lbs of tongue weight + 5500lbs of trailer = 6,200lbs.
That's almost 700lbs of food and such in the trailer, assuming the weight of the trailer is about 5,500lbs. It really does add up fast. Unless, of course, I'm missing something obvious.
