It's still winter

...in Michigan. In Detroit there was a 30 car pile-up on I-75 due to icing and snow squall white-outs. In my area, north of Detroit, we assisted with mutual aid on a 20 car bruhaha on US-23 due to similar conditions. Wherever you're driving, be careful. You don't want to find out what Hurst tools are for.

We had a bit of a blizzard down in southwest Missouri today and the temperatures dropped along with the blowing snow. I was watching for ice on the roads on the way back to the rv park this evening. We saw on the news where they had big pileup on I-70 in Indiana today too. Some times it is hard to realize that there is a thin layer of ice on the roads and that it can get real tricky trying to stop when you need to.

John,
Before I retired, I had the "pleasure" of being involved in stuff like that, and sorry to say I don't miss it!!! We don't get the snow in MO like you guys do, but still get our share of freezing weather! I remember one time I got sent to an accident on I-35 where a car had left the NB lane & hit a car in the SB lane, & sheared the car in half at the fire wall, it was in 2 separate pieces! No one was seriously hurt, but the kicker was that the driver of the car that crossed the median was a pilot for TWA! He said that he was a better pilot than a driver!!!
