Loading and unloading UTV from 2021 Cyclone 4214

Greetings, My wife and I recently "upgraded" from a 2020 Heartland BT 32GK to a 2021 Heartland Cyclone 4214 with the intent of doing more traveling and exploring with a Polaris 1000 XP Pro two seat UTV. I have what may seem like a simple question, and possibly an ignorant one. I have had multiple car haulers and we've always attached the tow vehicle to the trailer before loading the race cars into the trailer, even with the lift gate, if only for stability. Have other Heartland toy hauler owners had success loading and unloading their side by sides without the tow vehicle attached? Or would this august group recommend always loading with the tow vehicle attached. The Polaris will weigh about 1900lbs max with one person in it when driving up the ramp. All input will be appreciated.

We have a Can-am Spyder, our ground clearance is 4". The biggest issue for us is the angle of the ramp when loading/unloading. Sometimes we need to raise the front to decrease the angle of the ramp. So, the truck needs to be unhooked.

that angle has caught up with me & the Harley twice turns into a pain!!!

Cyclone 3800, Polaris Turbo R, I’m usually hooked up but have loaded and unloaded multiple times without being hooked up with no problems
