New Fan-tastic Vent Install

I have an Elkridge 5th wheel. I want to replace the ceiling fan/light fixture in the main room with a Fan-tastic vent in order to get more ventilation, and to allow more natural light in.
Situation: the roof air conditioner is located just a few feet aft of where the new penetration for the vent would go.
Question: will the integrity of the roof be compromised by creating a penetration so close to the heavy air conditioner?

If its not framed for a 14 x 14 in vent I wouldn't be doing it.

1. If you are still in warranty don't do this yet.

2. If you are out of warranty and want to do it, I suggest you call Heartland Customer Service and discuss with them. Have your VIN ready. They "may" be able to tell you where NOT to cut holes in the roof (where ducts, joists, wires are at). They will also likely try to talk you out of it and will emphasize that they will take no responsibility even if they give you advice and the project goes south.
