While looking around on the Heartland website, I found a new Bighorn model the BH3185RL.

This is a very nice looking unit that is just a bit larger than the 3055RL, has the all-in-one bath and unlike any other model of Bighorn, has a center bed instead of in a slide out.

Dadgum, I just talked the wife into this '09 3370RL and we just got it in January. I wonder how I can get her to look at this new one?

Unless they've come up with some kind of flexible drain to put it in the hall closet, which is part of the bedroom side slide, it doesn't look like it's an option. That is a nice floor plan...but not as nice as a 3670 .

It is a nice floor plan. I think it was at the show in Novi. You do not get the bigwalk in closet. The closets are much shorter. And no w/d.

I fail to se the attraction of the center bed. I love the small windows on either side of the head of the bed and the large closet. I guess it it does save a bit on the lenght of the trailer, but it is also only a queen bed, I gotta have a king. I do like the laptop tray.

Yep, after looking at it a little closer, I think I have more storage and closet space in my 3055, plus I have a place for washer and dryer if I want. So, no thanks Jay,,, I will keep my 3055.

Do you think the lack of the walk-in closet in the front will lower the pin weight? This might be another sales point. I agree that the side closet won't hold as much as our walk-in and as a full-timer I need all teh storage I can get.

I am with Jim on this one the kitchen is nice but don't want the hassle of a kitchen slide. So I will keep my 3055. Kathy

For sure it will lower the pin weight if you pack that front closet like we do. We don't have washer and dryer, but do put a lot of stuff up there besides just clothes...heavy coats, air mattress, art supplies, extra shoes, clothes, enough for 2 months without washing, bag of medicine, large bottle of vitamins, large bottle of cialis, large bottle of pain medication, you name it... we got it...and it's usually in the closet.

I LOVE my 3055, and my King bed, and the closet...I could go on an on!

Looks like a good RV for someone who travels light... weekend use and such. The size of the closet is much more important for us. We have ours packed well too... along with a small Freezer in place of the washer/dryer.

The Kitchen is nice... plenty of work room and easy enough to get out of each others way while making a meal.

The desk area is limited as well in my view. The pull out shelf for the laptop computer needs to be a little wider so there is room to work a mouse.

Deb and I looked this unit over extensively at the Novi show. Seeing we had just bought a 09 3055 this summer we were comparing to see if we would have liked this unit better. Final conclusion matches those stated above. Although it is a nice looking unit we would not trade our 3055 for it.
