I knew I wanted to get new tires for my Cyclone before I even ordered it. I crossed my fingers and held my breath for a few trips. Whether the impending explosion of my towmax tires was a real or perceived risk, I nonetheless travelled with anxiety.
The kind folks at America's Tire relieved my anxious travels today with a new set of BFG Commercials. I went with the 235/85 16. The fit is great and leaves plenty of room between the tires. I was a little worried the almost inch taller tire would be too close. I can't tell by looking that the gap is any smaller.
Now hopefully I can sell my stack of barely used tires locally to someone less concerned with towmax's reliability.
They only had six in the store so I left the spare. They should have it delivered and mounted tomorrow.
Now to order a TST system to keep an eye on these new tires.
