Operating Pressure of the Water System

I have a 2010 Sundance and I'm considering installing a 2 gallon pressure tank to solve the pump knocking and always running every time you open a valve.
The tanks I have seen say to adjust the pressure to 2 PSI bellow the pump pressure. The pump says its 45 PSI but it does not seem to have that much pressure. What is the operating pressure of these systems ???? ( I don't have a gauge )
Thanks

Your pressure is going to swing well over 2 psig. Set your tank pressure for around 25 psig and you should reduce the pump starts/stops. The pump maximum pressure just before it stops should be close to 45 psig but the nominal pressure when you are using water will be much less unless you upgrade to one of the high volume pumps.

Any thing special to do for winterizing??

No, just make sure you get antifreeze through every line. Be sure to close the bypass to the hot water heater and pull the anode. If you run the antifreeze until is it pink from every faucet then that is enough for the traps as well. There are some really good post on winterizing in the forums.
