They are both a synthetic that don't absorb moisture. The moisture that has to drain out or dry is between the fibers. I never said that it didn't dry out quickly. It all depends on how warm it is and how low the humidity is. It may dry in an hour, or it may take half a day.

We purchased either a 9x20 or 10x20 from campingworld about three years ago. This mat has worked great for us, I have rolled it up when damp, most of the water seems to go through it. I do dry it out when weather permits when returning home but it doesn't take long spread out on the driveway apron. It is fairly light, I fold it somewhat like I would a flag with out the point. It is about 2x2 square when folded and fits nicely into the basement storage. I don't recall the price but wasn't terribly expensive....jwb.
