Where do I find the Lippert wing # to see what pin boxes might be adaptable on my Bighorn 3610re. I am interested in the Reese Goose Box

Don't know what you mean by "wing #". The "Portal Page" has all the contact info on it for Lippert.

Thanks Jim. I had assumed the wings were the channels that the pin box bolt to. I was hoping to find the info I needed to be sure the Reese Goose Box would bolt up without having to take off the fiberglass shroud that covers my OEM pin box, confirm, and order the new pinbox. With my work and locations, I just don't want to deal with the hitch uner the trailer, hanging or filling my bed up.

Brad;
I put a 5th airborne pin box on my FW. It works great and you cant even see it with the shroud on. Just had to do a few modifications to the shroud in terms of grinding a little off the bottom.

You have to take off the shroud to get at the bolts easily and drill the required two 5/8" holes. Takes a couple of hours tops and most of that is drilling and torqueing the bolts. Great hitch/pin box and keeps your bed clean. We had the 5th Airborne before this and it was a great pin box as well.

Thanks LW, I called the folks who make the Goose Box and they said I have to look at the number on the wings to know if they fit. 1621 seems to be the most used by Lippert. If that is the case it sounded like there would be no mods. If I only need to drill a couple of holes that wouldn't be a big deal. I wonder if you had paperwork that said to drill those holes. Structural integrity and engineers and all that stuff?? I feel better about the purchase already. Skirting first and it should ship this Friday. Woohoo!

Divedreamer, Here's my suggestion :

1). Remove the fiberglass cover.

2). Look for a label that has the complete "PIN BOX" number and info i.e. 1621HD Lippert or something like this.

3). Go on the Reese site and cross index your current pin box # to the new Reese # or

4). Call Reese with your current pin box # and have them tell you the correct Reese pin box #

5). Make sure you find out and perform the proper bolt/nut torque, you must repeat after a bit a few times for safety.

Reese probably sells a pin box that has the same bolt hole pattern as your current pin box. It probably will have the same geometry ( lenght, drop etc. ). The same weight carrying capability. In other words - an exact replacement with their mods.

Happy RVing !

The 1621 HD pin box requires the two new holes. It is in the paperwork that comes with the Goose Box. We really like it as it keeps the bed open and Lippert wont drop your warranty which is a big deal for sure.

In case anyone wondered, I removed the shroud and the pin box is labelled 1621 so I guess the Goosebox will fit. The directions might tell me that I have to drill holes, but it should work. I am excited.
