Propane switch

I have had problems with my propane switching valve not switching when a tank goes empty. Is there anything that can be checked or does it just need replaced?

Tab;

I had that on my Sea Breeze and it was moisture in the switching valve. Apparently, I got a tank of propane that was not "moisture free". I removed the valve and warmed it for about eight hours and it didn't give me any trouble after that. That would be my first guess.

In the cold wheather on the way to Fla. I had one tank apparently freeze. The valvue changed to the second tank. It was apparent from the frost on the tank and the weight of the tank that it was not empty. When it warmed above freezing I changed back to the first tank and the gauge went to green. I am still using from that tank. I thought at the time that maybe moisture was the problem.
