RBSS Slide Motor Location

We have a 2008 North Trail 29RBSS, and I've been trying to find the slideout motor. I would like to know just in case I have to move the slide manually while on the road. I've search everywhere under the slide. I've even pulled down the under skirt (except above the axles) thinking maybe it was on the inside of the frame. Please help!

Thanks,
Bobkat

Hi Bobkat, welcome to the forum. Lots of good information here.
I can't tell you where your slide motor is, but I'm sure that a NT owner will chime in with the answer.

Peace
Dave

My 2010 NT 31BDSS has a manual crank for the slide out located directly above the steps on the opposite side of the slideout.

As does my NT 26LRSS. In my case the hole for the crank is just to the right of the rear (left) steps. The crank is hanging in the forward storage compartment.

BINGO! Thanks Silverado23 and pegmikef. That's where it was. I was beginning to worry I'd never find it.

Silverado23: Do you know if your slide is hydraulic.

My slide is electric. I think most of the North trails have electric slides, though.
My crank for the jacks will work for the slide too but the slide crank is shorter and smaller diameter rod so I would not use it for the Jacks.

How in the world did you find that?? We have the 26LRSS too, and the dealer never pointed it out to us. I knew there would be a manual crank, but I figured I was doomed to removing the Coroplast if I ever needed to get to it. So thanks for saving a lot of needless effort and frustration.

I was lucky as I had a very thorough PDI. In fact this was the first thing the tech showed me when we started the external portion of the PDI.

I always used my cordless drill with a 3/4 inch (I think) socket to raise and lower the jacks on my Edge. My NT has electric jacks.
