Hi new to campers. I just bought a 2021 pioneer re275 camper trailer. It didn't come with a ladder to get on top.

1 can you safely walk on top?
2. Where would you mount the ladder3 what ladder is recommended?

Thought this would be useful to clear leaves from slide and such. Thanks. Mn

Hi marknewbill,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

Ladders need a strong backing board inside the roofing. If your trailer didn't come with a ladder, it also probably doesn't have the backing board.

Consider a telescoping ladder. The close down to a small form factor that easily fits in your storage areas.

i bought one of those telescoping ladders. Love it. After the first time using it, you learn real fast not where to put your fingers. Lol.

You might want to clarify with heartland whether that roofing system is walkable. Not all of them are built and rated as such. Plus be sure ask, what is the weight limit if it is walkable.
