If it is the same unit that comes with the North Trails............Contact your dealer and ask if you replace it with a "real radio/CD/MP3/iPod player" will they give you a credit?
The radio of course has to be "broken" but by what you are saying that is the way it sounds. (No pun intended)
Our's was "blown" at delivery so we opted for a hi-quality auto unit and Heartland was very nice to send us $100 with proof of purchase against the replacement. Of course I replaced it with a $280 unit but oh sweet music now.
We also had to upgrade all the speakers too. The Jenson unit that comes in their higher end brands is different but the base Jenson unit is actually not worth installing IMHO but I am an audiophile.
