Hi rvowner,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

You don't give us any information as to what unit you have. Trailer, type of dvd, or tv. The black and white could be caused by several different things from settings on your tv,, to bad connections to wrong connections.
Help us out and the Heartland family will have some answers.

Enjoy the forum.

Hi rvowner,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. There's lots of useful information here along with a great bunch of friendly and helpful people.

Sometimes it's helpful to know what model trailer, TV, and surround sound you have.

Generically, you should check the TV's video input. Some TVs have more than one mode - COLOR STREAMING mode is used when you have component video connections and VIDEO is used when you have Y/R/W audio video connectors. If this is a factory setup, you probably want VIDEO mode.

You might need to check where the A/V cable is plugged into each device to make sure the inputs and outputs are matched. This is especially true if it's not a factory install.

Let us know what you find.

If you have a toshiba tv, go to menu, input and change the ColorStream setting to video. This should fix the problem.
