Shower Plumbing In M-22

I have posted elsewhere about the shower in the M-22, but have a question or two...

Why is the shower head plumbed from the sink faucet? Is it a cost reason, exterior wall plumbing freeze reason, or some other?

Is there a potential future redesign for this shower plumbing?

We are considering an M-22 for a possible future downsizing move. We love our North Trail 31BHD, but the length has a few limitations for us. The M-22 is a great alternative for us, but the shower head being connected to the bathroom sink is undesirable for us.

Any input on this is greatly appreciated.

You answered your own question.....It is both a cost saving and also the wall thickness prevents us from running the water lines through an outside wall......Most of the time we run the water lines through interior walls but we couldn't in this case
