The Cat's Meow - Key Largo Closet Mod

One of the first things we noticed when we got our 2013 Key Largo w/stackable washer & dryer was that the only place for the cat's litter box was in the floor of my side of the closet rather than in the washer/dryer prep corner of our old Big Country. (I figured it was a dumb question to ask why it had to go in my side of the closet.). The problem was with the kitty box on the floor, there was a lot of wasted space above it. Our solution was to add shelves above the cat's powder room for shoe and folded clothes storage. I found 16" deep earthtone wire Rubbermaid shelving at Home Depot and prefinished Rubbermaid 1"x2"x6' trim that matched the wood finish in our Key Largo perfectly to attach to the closet walls for supports. After cutting the shelving and trim to length, I attached the supports to the walls with #10 x 1 1/4" brass screws. Here's the results:

She would never stoop that low! That's why she has staff (DW and me)!
