The drivers faring around 16" tires

For some reason when the factory installed wheel faring has been installed two inches to rear of trailer on the drivers side versus the passenger side of the paired axles. This has put my rear driver's tire less than an inch from the faring. There are some sharp edges I know I will have to address but really is that an acceptable installation.
Boy if I had tire trouble the incident may involve more than just a cheap tire or rim.
Any thoughts out there ?
Thanks everyone.

If you loose a tire on an RV it will cause a lot more damage than a tire and wheel, they will be the cheap part of the experience.

My Big Country is the same way. The center "point" on the wheel fender is about 3/4-1" away from the front edge of my tire. I never noticed it so much before but I have some new tires that are just slightly larger. My solution will be to put the slide out and push the center of the fender bracket out to gain another inch or so of clearance or replace the bracket if necessary. I don't understand why it's that way either but I can deal with it. At first I thought I had a suspension problem but I checked and that's the way it was made..Don

I just took another look at mine. The middle of the fender is centered over the end of the ram and all the adjusters for the slideout. If they had moved it ahead or back then all the adjusters for the ram would be showing. The fender is solidly mounted and isn't going anywhere but the edge is a bit close to the tire. I'm just going to trim 3/4-1" of the plastic edge off near the tire with Mr. Dremel, and forget about it. I can't see anything else that it can hurt...Don
