Waste Tank Level Sensors

No matter what I've tried, the level sensors in the black water waste tank of our North Trail show the tank is full. Any suggestions?

Incorrect readings are normal for black tanks.
Many here do not rely on the level markers of the gauge but instead listen for the toilet to "burp" when flushed as an indication that the tank is nearly full.
I haven't looked at my gauge in years.

With experience, you'll learn to notice the "pitch" changes when you flush the toilet shortly before it starts to actually burp. Kind of an early warning that it's getting close. And you'll figure how long you can normally go between dumps. I mark a "T" on the calendar when I dump, so I can pretty much tell at a glance when it might be due again. Just the two of us, but we don't skimp on the water in the bowl, so about every four days I dump and start with about 6 or 7 gallons of water in the tank.

Of course, if you're out in the boonies, running off your fresh water tank, you may need to conserve.

As for your question, I actually have the same problem on my galley gray tank. I have plans to install the Seelevel system in the near future. But I'm thinking our problem is a fouled sensor or a bad wire on the top sensor of that tank. I have tried a few time to flush out the tank with the detergent, to no avail. I do use the monitor quite often on my gray tanks because I always keep my valve closed.
hopefully someone on here will have our answer.
