When parked in the driveway, stabilizers down or not?

Up unless you're going to be doing a lot of moving around inside or have the family inside for some reason. Generally, most of the heavy storage is at the axles or forward, so it's not going to tilt backwards on you.

I never put the stabilizers down unless we are camping for a while and are going to use the washer and dryer.
The Level Up is always in use however.

Obviously I'm missing something once again - I call the level-up stabilizers so are we thinking what I wish we had had the very rear of the coach to support that / minimize movement, or are we talking any thing other than the front landing gear.

In any case, we use the level-up even when storing.

We just park, put down landing gear and drive away... haven't used stabilizers or our 4-pt ground-control levelers (it's not automatic). Not sure what the stabilizers would gain you, you shouldn't be using them to lift any load off the tires, and if the tires go flat (or sink into the ground), you might tweak a stabilizer under the excess weight. That's my thought, anyway...

Well we are sitting here in Albuquerque with the coach at the Kirtland AFB Famcamp and I have one set of wheels not off the ground but what appear to be awfully close. When we had our old coach I used to have to put three boards under the one side to level it, now I did put some 12x12 inch boards down under the level-up pads but that is just habit as I try to spread the weight over a larger area. In any case, pushed the level-up button and 30 seconds later we are level and opening slides - easy-peazee.

Moved on to the next thing...
Even when we have our Prowler parked in our side yard I put all of the jacks down.

We get lots of strong winds here, so I feel better having the trailer stabilized . . .

After all . . . it only takes a minute to put the landing gear down, so why not just do it?

This is why I always put ours down.

Why not spread the load distribution out to as many points as possible? I also put 2x12's under as well to help even more. At our previous storage area I saw one sink through the black top pavement. Probably a spot where they skimped on depth some. Regardless of that I have seen enough not to take an extra couple of minutes to put all of the stabilizers down.

Did you add the electric stabilizer jack to the back of your unit in addition to the Level Up? Just trying to get a mental picture. At the recommendation of another Heartland owner we added the jack. Our BH is still on order and it's our first fifth wheel. Still trying to figure out the "ups and downs" of things, so to speak😊

Our trailer came with the rear stabilizers. I had the Level Up installed a week later.
I think you made a wise decision adding the rear stabs.

Peace
