Gap in seam side of trailer.

I have a 3055RL that is a 2007 model. The outside wall on the the door side in front of the propane tank storage compartment has a 3 inch by 1/2 gap at the radius above the molding when trailer is connected to truck. When trailer is supported on its own front supports the gap disappears. The other side is ok - no separation. This appears to be a structual defect in the frame on that side of the trailer. The unit is at Camping World to be evaluated. How serious is this problem and what kind of fix is neccessary to fix it?
