I have a Golden Gate that is still under the one year Factory Warranty.
I have taken my 5er to the dealer for a few minor repairs.
I have a closet door which is a mirror door that is cracked and they will not cover it.
I thought everything was covered for the first year.

I would have to check into it. Did you send photos of the break with an explaination of how it occured? It would be very rare for a glass part, whether door inserts, or windows, or medicine cabinet doors to break on their own without some outside influence. Of course if the evidence shows that the door broke on it's own accord, it should be eligible for warranty.
Let me know.

I build new homes for a living and I gotta say that if a broken peice of glass or mirror was not seen on my walk through and noted on the final punchlist, I would probably not be liable.

In the end though I would probably take the hit since these days I need every good referal and happy customer

Just my 2 cents

There is no chip or signs of damage. It is cracking from where the door clip or lock is ,out into the mirror. It is now about 6 inches long and growing. I will try and get pictures but the dealer has already seen it.
