Laminated Floor

I see many of you over at RV.net and other forums and I am sure you see the debate about the Heartland Laminated Floor and the comments regarding how the styrofoam eventually compresses and makes for problems. I also noticed reference to this in the Cruiser "The Truth About RV Construction" pamphlet.

So, does anyone have any definitive information about weight compressing the styrofoam in the floor and creating issues? I am not particularly worried about it I would just like more information on how to debate the issue with those saying it is an inferior construction technique.

Many thanks!

I find it hard to believe on the laminated floors, if they are using the same thickness of OSB as used in my earlier Bighorn, if my floor is not "flexing"...how could it possibly "compress" the foam core on the laminated floors??? To do that they would have to be using a much thinner piece of OSB, with virtually no cross members, and I really don't think that is the case...JMHO>
