Forest river??

I have talking to a member via PMs. Apparently someone is spreading a rumor that HL has been bought out by Forest River. Could a salesman at a RV store not knowing what hes talking about. OK JB, whats the deal here. I ain't going to buy a Forest River product.

What, a salesman not knowing EVERYTHING about RV's and RV'ing? Say it ain't so!

Why would Thor, the largest RV company, need to sell Heartland, a brand that has helped to make them even more profitable? I seriously doubt that they need to have a fire sale on their holdings.

I was under the impression, that THOR owns both heartland and forest river already

Forest River is a division of Berhshire Hathaway Co. Forest River does RV's, Buses, Boats, Cargo trailers and much more. At one time they were 2nd in RV sales to(Thor Ind). Thor owns Heartland, and many other RV makers.

It would be interesting to ask a Forest River Rep at the show about this. I doubt that it's true. Why would Thor sell a money maker?

I recieved a PM this morning and the person asked another dealer about this. I guess the salesman was full of doo-doo. Imagine that.

Yes Dave, Now that we are here in So Cal there is something about the water.LOL .Cant believe all you here from salesman can you.
Maybe one day it will be the other way around Thor will buy Forest river
