This could get as good as Ford GM and Ram
The Shurhold I listed is a fine DA polisher. It was marketed as a marine tool so one of the features is a GFI built into the power cord. And being a marine marketed item means I get it for a commercial account price from West Marine. That said, it is an excellent tool for taking care of the paint on my bike, which is a limited to I year, 1500 bikes, factory custom paint.
While you do your search, I would look for:
Long hard wired power cords. I would consider 15-20 feet a minimum. The Griot version I think has a 25' cord.
Weight, a polisher that weighs one pound more then the competition will make a difference detailing a 40 foot long trailer.
Warranty, if you use it once a year, a 1 year warranty is almost useless. Griot I think is lifetime.
I prefer the bale type handle over the side mount handle
Get a no name or cheap unit (HF) and you will end up buying something better later. You might not be able to get replacement pads (the machine's velcro backing pad).
These are all good polishers. And when you look at the brands that are not tool companies (Shurhold, Griot, Meguiar's) you have to wonder if they are all made in the factory.
