I just got another camping couple to join the rally as well and I'm posting for them as well as they are computer illiterate. LOL. They are new to the camping world and I thought it was a good idea to get their feet wet with a good bunch of experienced campers and meet new friends! If you can add to the master list. Thanks! They are a non Heartland (KZ) but know about the additional fee.

Just checked with RVParky app and there is one campground off 95 in Dillon SC called Bass Lake RV (http://basslakecampground.net/). Pretty good reviews. Would not stop at South of the Border - 40 years ago nice place but today NO.

Your list is showing us (& John & Judy Firth) as attending from 10/18 to 10/21. However, our reservations wihCreekFire shows 10/18 to 10/22. We are leaving on Sunday 10/21. Are you able to coordinate with CreekFire this change of dates for both Leavitt & Firth? Therefore, your list is currently correct & CreekFire needs adjustment. Please let me know if you have any questions. Do you have sites assigned yet?

Sue,
We received a notice from CreekFire that we were on Site #3 & #4 (Firth's & Leavitt's); then received a notice via the forum that those sites were not in the package for the rally and that you were working on them with CreekFire. Now, I do not know what to think or what to tell John Firth. Will call the resort to correct our dates of attendance AND confirm our sites with them. Thanks.

We have some counts of the kids (from the Road Warrior group) that will be attending but would like to get a complete count. If you will be bringing any children with, please let us know how many and their ages. The campground has activities that we can take advantage of and an inflatable bounce house!
Sounds like most are in favor of the Riverboat cruise and the museum so far....we may try to schedule both. ;) Watch for more info to come!!!

Hello - There is no additional rally charge for those that have a Heartland rig.
There may be additional fees if there are any outings that are planned such as a "Riverboat Cruise", but of course this would be optional.
More info to come.

It is not on the paperwork, nor is it anywhere for acceptance during the reservation process. However, it is Item 5 of the Guidelines & Information section under the Express Check-In selection.

Consider a Trolly Tour, it will take you all over downtown Savannah, point you to the best sites, and then you can re-board where you got off all over town. The Pirates House is a good place for lunch ( I think) or dinner (definitely). If you use your own vehicle park up on Bay St. and then Walk down to River St. not much parking down there. There are several haunted and historic Cemeteries to discover, Bonaventure is beautiful. if you have never read the book, “ Midnight in the Garden of a Good and Evil”, It would be a good read before you come, to give you an insight into this unique city. And last but not least, try to go to the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace and First Headquarters of Girl Scouts. I am a lifelong Girl Scout so I am partial to the history and it’s founding in the wonderful city of Savannah! Feel free to send me a message if you have questions! Savannah in the fall will be beautiful!

Another FYI for anyone considering a trolly tour of Savannah. One of the companies will pick you up and drop you off here at CreekFire if you don’t mind being gone all day. The fine ladies in the office have a coupon for $5 off which basically mirrors the online ticket price. Having never done this, we’re told the key is to ride the complete 90 tour loop to get the lay of the land then use the next loop to get on and off as you please.

Good afternoon. I hope this finds you all well.

Sorry for the late notice but due to some issues at work, we will not be attending the rally after all.

Please have a blast and we hope to see you soon.

Happy Friday everyone! Welcome to Savannah, Paul and Sue ordered some great weather for us this weekend. Just wanted to take a minute and remind you all about BINGO tonight after the Ice Cream social! 🍨🍨

The cost for the pack of cards to play is just $6 which includes a jackpot card. You can purchase more than one pack of cards. Additional Jackpot cards will be $1. I’ll start selling cards at about 6:30 pm. Exact change is appreciated.

Prizes will be $15 for each regular game and the jackpot pays $25 plus half of all additional jackpot cards sold. Multiple winners will split prizes.

Proceeds benefit the Georgia Chapter of the HOC

Hope you all will join us tonight, kids are welcome to play as well, bring your own dauber or we will have markers there.

Karen and I had a wonderful time here. This was, by far, the largest chapter rally we have attended. Thanks Paul and Sue!

Nancy and I are in downtown Savannah at a hotel for tonight then off to Orlando in the morning and we'll put into Sarasota for the FL rally on Wednesday.

I just wanted to chime in here and say "BRAVO" to Paul and Sue. I really feel they hit a home-run on their first rally and that's hard to do. But they've attended dozens of rallies, had a lot of great help executing and had lots of leadership there to help them and guide them.

Great choice of location within GA and great new venue. We had a blast and will see Paul and Sue and many other GA rally attendees at Walter and Linda's rally in Sarasota!

On edit: I also want to add a HUGE thank you to all the rally attendees. Not only for supporting the GA rally but for supporting Companions for Heroes (C4H)! YOU DID IT! We raised over $5000 to fully train a service animal and a veteran.

As we learned at the rally from the founder of C4H - taking care of our veterans is worthy and important and providing those in need with trained companions is a key. Bravo to you all for your support!

urgent call for information!: gentleman, white hair, long white beard, landmark pulled with a white dodge duelly. was 1/4 mile behind me after we got onto I75 north in Macon. in my mirrors I saw his trailer make a sudden dog leg right and he pulled over. I was too far ahead and traffic too heavy for me to pull over and render aid. it looked to me like shackles or spring hanger(s) snapped. if anyone can tell me who he is and if he landed safely it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all that came to our first rally as GA chapter leaders! We really appreciate all the support and kind words! We would also like to extend a huge THANK YOU 😊 to all those that helped us. We would not have been as successful without the help we received. And we would also like to THANK EVERYONE for helping to meet our goal as challenged by JB and making our Heartland Gives Back project such a success!
