strawberry pie
DW made the pie; but it so simple even
I can do.
Buy premade pie crust and bake per directions. (Course I prefer DW's homemade crust, but that takes time
)
Let it cool. Could be done days earlier. DW baked that one at home before we left.
Use large pack of Jell-o, 2 cups of hot water to dissolve.
2 cups of ice to cool Jell-o; refrigerate until thick,
not solid
While Jell-0 is cooling
Slice fresh (or frozen, thawed) strawberries into pie crust.
When Jell-o is thick, pour it over strawberries.
Place in refrigerator until Jell-o is solid.
Cover with Cool-Whip, cut and serve.
Makes two 8" pies from large pack of Jell-o.
Great light snack for a hot summer's day!!!
