    Heartland's Warranty is questionable

I have been using e-mails because the dealer is still "involved", or at least he makes it sound as if he is still dealing with Heartland. So, my e-mails can be sent to both parties in hopes of getting things done. My issues are not even big. I could easily afford to just get it fixed and be done...

    Heartland's Warranty is questionable

Bobby, they may keep track of you to help you through issues, but unless you are recording your phone calls, YOU have no proof that you've talked to them. Can anyone explain why they don't answer e-mails? Jim, yes, we have an Eagle Ridge and overall like it. We DO have issues though, and they...

    Heartland's Warranty is questionable

A phone call isn't "documented", and their customer service ignores their e-mails as good as the dealer does. You guys need to get your Heartland glasses off and realize this is very common. The old "2 sides to every story" story is getting old.

You think your a Hot Shot

I was playing around as well and saw what happens. On a good note, that cleared some space for future unloading. :)

You think your a Hot Shot

Accuracy: 81.9% Time: 15.23 Seconds Score: 1075 The time is the most critical part of the equation for a good score. I have done it in 14 seconds, but the parking job is crazy. This thing is ADDICTING! :) (My new personal best right after I posted) Accuracy: 90.7% Time: 14.27 Seconds Score: 1271

Mounting spare tire on rear bumper

Don't miss the part about it NOT being covered under warranty. I agree, it sure seems to be strong enough, and it also seemed to be something they would cover, but so far that's not the case. I'm not trying to be a jerk about this, but the fact is we have Heartland people on here telling us all...

Mounting spare tire on rear bumper

You are correct- it is the ask the factory section. The reason I chimed in is I have read in the past from Heartland people that a bike rack being mounted "should be no problem". The problem is, it IS a problem. We have an Eagle Ridge, very similar to the Sundance, and we used a bike rack on...

Mounting spare tire on rear bumper

It's not me saying it, just telling you what Heartland and Lippert will tell you AFTER it breaks. Not sure why nobody will tell you that now when you're asking.

Mounting spare tire on rear bumper

No. The rear bumper is there to carry your sewer hose, although it doesn't seem like anyone in the know wants to tell you that.

    Warranty or not?

The bikes are all "Specialized", with the heaviest one being mine at 28 pounds. Then there is a females bike and 2 smaller adult/larger kids bikes. None of those 3 weigh more than 25 each. Pretty close to 100 pounds, and the receiver isn't the part that had the problem. Thanks for your replies...

    Warranty or not?

I tried "correcting" the problem immediately by contacting the dealer and then awaited their response. But yes, in the meantime we did continue to use it. I guess my question to you is this- do you think the bumper being mounted "crooked" is a warranty item? No, it is not intentionally...

    Warranty or not?

The bumper was not level, but as I just posted- there was nothing else "visually" wrong with it. And why would I? How about I just spent $XX,XXX.XX on a 5th wheeler that was going to be hauling bikes for my family, was included in several vacation plans, and when the dealer was notified, he did...

    Warranty or not?

I did inspect the rear bumper to see if thee was anything I might have been able to do to straighten it out when I first brought it home. If you've never seen one, it is welded directly to the frame, so no missing bolt, bent bracket or anything quite so easy. I didn't notice any cracked weld or...

    Warranty or not?

Well, let's just say I am a little disappointed so far. We have a 2010 Eagle Ridge with the 4" square bumper on the back. On the 1st trip towing it home, I was being followed by a friend who immediately noticed that the rear bumper was not level with the 5'er- it had a slight dip to the drivers...
