    Planning for Full-Time RVing

Wow thanks for all of the great information. I knew I could find assistance here. I plan to visit my state retirement office and the SS office this week. From my first job at 17 I have paid into SS but my retirement is with the State of Georgia. I am not sure if the pension prevision is...

    Planning for Full-Time RVing

Thanks WDK450. When my wife and I were in Elkhart In. a few ago we met the President of the Family Motor Coach Association FMCA. He informed us that their association had taken a vote to change their by-laws to allow all campers in their organization. He was telling me about some of their...

    Planning for Full-Time RVing

MT Pockets and Lil Guy, Thank You so much for you input. I guess we have lived such a structured life that making this type of change is a little unsettling but, I know we can do it. As I told my wife (who wants a big new fifth wheel) I don't care what we travel in but I want to be able to...

    Planning for Full-Time RVing

My wife and I are just under two years from retirement. Our plans are to sell our home and most belongings and travel in a fifth wheel. We have just returned from touring several manufacturers in and around Elkhart In. and have narrowed our selection down to three. We currently have a 2014 BC...

    Heartland landmark factory tour

My wife and just returned from a week in Elkhart Indian and the surrounding communities. We are planning our retirement and wanted to tour several of the fifth wheel manufacturers who claim to have "four season" or "full-time living" units. The trip was well worth the cost of flying, hotel and...

    suspension replacement

Thanks, I have noticed the rubber at the top and bottom of the shocks looks dry rotted and cracking. This is way I am asking if any know how often they need changing or what to look for

Brake Adjustment for 2015 Big Country

I could not agree more with Dan on the tires for your RV. Just because they look good does not mean they are safe. Look for the manufactures date on tire. I would almost bet your tires are three years old or more. I have experienced the Towmax/Blowmax world and its not pleasant. Two tires one...

    suspension replacement

I have a 2014 Big Country 3650RL. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the shocks and if when did you know it was time to do this. Plus, has anyone replaced the Dexter suspension component with a Mor/Ryde. About to hit the road for some extended travel and wanted to make sure these items were...

SOLVED - water coming from camper

Re: water coming from camper Repair work completed and I wanted to share some of this with. The areas where the front and rear caps connect were the worst. The from cap had large gap that needed dicor caulk and tape. The rear cap also had cracks in it and I have repaired them also. The one item...

SOLVED - water coming from camper

Re: water coming from camper The underbelly was my first thought because I had that occur before so I raised the front of the camper to its maximum, hoping to see water come out the drain holes I cut in the underbelly or run out the back of the camper, but it didn't. As a matter of fact more...

SOLVED - water coming from camper

Re: water coming from camper Thanks I was thinking the same thing. Is it possible for water to get between the two caps and not enter the coach area?

SOLVED - water coming from camper

I wasn't sure what section to post this. I have a 2014 BC 3650RL. This weekend we were in a couple of strong rain storms at the campground. Today when I retracted my rear levels water began coming out of the front of the camper near my left from leveler. If I had to guess it looked like approx 3...

    Led awning lights

I have a 2014 BC and I have replaced this item twice. The heat and humidity in Georgia causes the paper backing to become dislodged and it begins to kink-up and bend. The breaks the connectors in the strip. I wish I could find something more solid/substantial to go in its place.

    hitch height

Thank you so much for that information. I can't wait to get the new hitch and use the new truck. I had a 2013 prior to this. Because I use the truck everyday I selected the SRW over the DRW. With my Big Country colors I had to purchase the Western Brown and tan interior LOL... - - - Updated - -...
