I've never found any advantage to it. Uninstalled it and now I ignore their promptings.

    does it ever end?

Another drawer bottom fix OP: I trust this one minor issue is not the reason you suspect Heartland QC is bad. Besides, this is not a QC problem, it is a design/cost/weight decision at Heartland and most other RV manufacturers. It is common in the industry. When looking over a number of manf's...

    Oven Pilot lights

How do the LP ovens in a Bighorn RV work? Is there a pilot light that gets turned off each time you move and turn off the gas? Or are there electronic ignition devices, standard, or available, like on an outdoor grill?

New 2015 Bighorn 3270RS Floor Plan

Saw a 3270 at my local dealer in Salt Lake City. I'm considering this trailer for my first 5er. The specs fit what we want almost perfectly. The 18 cu ft fridge gets its space by eliminating the fridge and freezer dividers. Looks nice, but it did not have the attractive wood doors. We especially...

    storing rifle/case

I can't imagine not securing a firearm that I do not have on me. The cost of a simple, quick entry metal safe, attached to the rig so the whole thing cannot be stolen, is insurance/peace of mind that I cannot live without. For long guns they can be as cheap as $150 or up to hundreds, much less...
