It is not necessary to go west to Utah. If you take Hwy 62 west off of Hwy 550 to Hwy 145 and go south the drive is much easier. You will end up in Cortez and will have to backtrack to Durago. This route is just a pretty as Red Mountain pass (IMO), and is a much easier drive.
Having said that...

Actually it is a daily charge. You can come and go as many times as you like during that day. The cost is $7.00 per day. The yearly pass is $70.00 so if you will be in Colorado State Parks more then 10 days the yearly pass is the way to go. It is good for a year so if you buy it...
After 14 months with our Elkridge, we decided a month ago that it was time to move on. We have purchased another SOB fifth-wheel.
I have learned a great deal from this forum and the members here. Heartland has done a good thing in hosting the forum.
I wish you all well!
Very possibly could be a bad coaxial connection. Many on the forum have reported that issue. I'd start by taking the face plates off and looking at the terminations. I had to go through the entire coach and replaced virtually all of the connectors.

Many of us have had issues with the coaxial connections. Pull the connectors off the wall and see if the connections look good. You may find that some need to be re-terminated.
I know this is like beating a dead horse, but just couldn't help myself.
After 13.5 months and about 4,000 miles, all on pavement I discovered a broken spring on our Elkridge 34QSRL. Lippert "graciously" agreed to replace the spring, but the repair bill was on me. Unfortunately the nearest...
