Congrats on your new North Trail!, I'll be taking mine for about a week of hunting / camping in a little over a week, can't wait!

I run one of these, Sportsman GEN4000LP 4,000 Watt 6.5 HP OVH Propane Powered Portable Generator, I don't have to worry about Ethanol gumming up carburetor & LP gas is easier to handle & store... same engine as the Champion, available at Amazon or Tractor Supply.

Re: Reviews of the North Trail 24 BHS Ground clearance is one of the things that sold me on mine, I do mostly 2 rut road, way off the beaten track camping with mine, haven't bottomed out afaik yet...

Bonita Lake if it ever comes back from the devastating fire of a few years back is another nice place near Ruidoso ...

Very true, I have stayed in Alamogordo while hunting Oryx but the mountain areas might be better for a rally, even though it might be a little windy.

I'd be in for Ruidoso as it's fairly close ... Silver is on the other side of state so probably not going to happen, I work so would also have to check on days off etc...

Might grab a beer out of it when I get in from work (out of beer in house), going camping July 4th weekend so will be checking everything over good, plus checking food supplies...
