To gain access to the evap coil, you’ll need to remove the cover on the unit and separate the foam cover over the coil. Once you do that, you’ll be able to give it a real cleaning. I’d bet money your blower is covered in gross mold that gets damp when the unit is running and stinks up the place...
Open the kitchen faucet inside, then go out and see what your regulator pressure shows. I’m betting it’s not the pressure regulator but plugged filters. You have good static pressure but no volume once you open something up.
Had the Carefree type on my previous 5th wheel and they leaked rusty water from the ends and sagged when it rained. Went with the Solera brand on the Bighorn and they’ve held up well fulltiming in the South Texas sun for 2 years. Solera has my vote.
My first 5th wheel was a Sundance. Did the exact same thing and it turned out to be a hairline crack in the skylight. It would leak water when it rained. Give that thing a thorough cleaning outside and inspect it close.
I looked on amazon for that part number and it looks like it’s a 35mm cartridge. Looks to be between 10 and 25 bucks depending on who it’s purchased from. Thanks for taking the time to share some pics!
I have the same faucet with the identical leak your experiencing haha. Haven’t gotten around to looking at it just yet, but if no one chimes in I’ll take a look at mine and see what the correct process is to remove the cartridge. Can you tell where it’s leaking from while it’s still together?
Verify that there is caulking on the side of the D seals. It’s common for caulk to be missing down the sides of these and water will come in just as you describe.
I had a unit get funky like that. Depending on the unit, you’ll need to gain access to the evaporator and blower. It’s filled with gunk and most likely mold from being damp. My blower was full of dirt and mildew looking stuff and wreaked when the unit would come on. Buy a good coil cleaner from...
I purchased them direct from Micro-Air. My post was really in reference to running 3 ac units together on 50 amp service utilizing the easy start setup and how great they work and not just running 2 on gen power. They work as advertised for lowering your starting amperage draw to get the units...
You’d have to either look through your paperwork on your trailer or call heartland to determine that. The Blizzard units a pretty quiet as is, but redoing the box and ductwork with tape reduced the turbulent air noise further.
For those curious about this product, I installed the Easy Start kits on my Bighorn 3970 and am able to run 3 Dometic Blizzard NXT units on 50 amp shore power without any issues. The Bighorn came with 2 ac units but the south Texas heat has been unrelenting and I decided to upgrade one unit that...
It’s a good idea, although none of mine have ever had it behind the seals. I would suspect that it makes them easier to replace as they don’t last long when exposed to the sun. Just a good bead of caulk on the side and generous blob on the top seems to keep the water out.
