    GM See Through Trailer Camera

I have the new 2020 HD with the camera system but I have yet to buy the camera for the trailer (still doing my research). Based on several GM forums that I follow the invisible view will not work with a 5th wheel. It uses the rear view camera on the tailgate as part of the image and since the...

    2009 Bighorn

On my table extension you have to pull it towards you a little and then push it down and in. It is kind of tricky until you get the hang of it. I have not done anything with our valences so I don't have an answer for that.

    New here

It's probably my fault, I am the son and have been following this forum for many years and when dad bought the 2009 3055RL used in 2012 I got him set up with a login before he really knew what a forum was. He recently bought a new Bighorn and found new interest in the forum and joined the...

    Replace Mattress in Bighorn 3685RL

We have a king Purple mattress at the house and I have thought of getting one for the trailer too. We would need to cut ours narrower, the length is the same for a normal King but the width is 72". If you get one and cut it down let us know how it goes.

Switch couch and recliners on 3685RL

We have a 2009 3055RL too and have the same issue. We were using the slider deals to move the couch and recliners around every time. This last time we left the couch at the back and tipped it onto its back and the slides just barely miss the legs of the couch. We towed it home 2 hours and it...

Chevy 3500 HD exhaust brake question

From what I have read it works in conjunction with cruise control. You set the speed you want to maintain and the system will take care of the rest. I have a 2004 so I have not done it myself but that is what I have read on the diesel forums and seen them use this technique on the performance...

    New Heartland owner from Utah

You are exactly right. When I read about it on the forum I didn't think it was that big of a deal until we tried to make the bed the first time. We went to Lowes and bought the cheapest 12" stick-on tiles we could find. It would have been much easier to install them if we had them before we...

Thanks, most of what I did I learned from this forum. This is a great group of people.

    New Heartland owner from Utah

below is a list of the mods we have done so far in making our trailer ours. It took a while for us to stop calling it mom and dad's trailer and start calling it ours. My mods so far: Swapped original mattress for new Serta Hotel King Stick on tiles for bed platform to make making the bed...

    New Heartland owner from Utah

I have been reading this forum for several years. In 2012 my parents bought a 2009 3055RL and used it for several years. They started doing the snowbird thing shortly after buying the trailer and then last November they bought a new 3270. We were not ready to switch from our bunkhouse yet as...
