    DIY AC Replacement

Thank you for all the great tips. We've just about made it through this summer's trip. Although the RV has gotten warm during some of these hot Florida days, the living room unit has kept us comfortable for the most part. Replacing the bedroom unit will probably wait until the spring.

    DIY AC Replacement

The bedroom AC in my 2011 Sundance 3300CK is down hard, and I suspect it may be nearly as expensive to repair as it would be to buy a new unit. Has anyone here replaced one themselves? It doesn't seem to be too complicated of a job, but maybe I'm missing something?

Cyclone 3800 2nd AC Install - Need Help ASAP

Funny, I was just about to ask a very similar question: has anyone replaced one of their AC units (DIY)? It doesn't seem all that complicated to do. My bedroom unit (non-ducted) needs to be replaced. (Mods please split off if this question should be in a separate thread.)

Help Finding an RV Park in Florida Keys

We just wrapped up two weeks at the military campground at NAS Key West. Can't beat that one if you qualify! We're at Point of View Resort in Key Largo now, and it is definitely the nicest place we've stayed in Florida.

What did you do to your camper today?

Yeah, not such a good idea after all. Turns out the plaque isn't really meant to take the amount of wind it gets if you mount it that high. Fortunately, I happened to be looking at it when it let go. Thank goodness for zip ties! Oh, and the camp kitchen on a Sundance 3300CK can hold about three...

What did you do to your camper today?

Today's big project was mounting the rearview camera for my Garmin RV 760LMT. I really didn't want to drill any holes, but I did want it higher than the license plate. Then I had an aha moment: I attached it to my Heartland Owners Club plaque, and mounted that at the top of my ladder instead of...

What did you do to your camper today?

My pre-vacation to-do list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter, but I did find the time to copy an idea I saw on here a while back. I mounted a section of five inch fence post under the back, and put a section of vinyl gutter inside that. Voila--storage for 20 feet of sewer hose, including...

What did you do to your camper today?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, while I measured at the fender (because it was easier), where I noticed the issue was when I installed the Timbrens, which mount directly to the frame. The one on the passenger side is pretty clearly about a half inch closer to the axle than the one on the...

What did you do to your camper today?

I measured the fender height over the rear axles, since that was where I noticed it after putting in the Timbrens.

What did you do to your camper today?

This morning, I put an RVLock 3.0 on the door, then took her in for a state inspection. This afternoon, I put together 8 of these to use as leveling blocks (based on a post here a while back): I capped off the day by putting a set of Timbrens on my Super Duty, and learned in the process that...

    Second best after Sailun?

I can get the Maxxis for under $150 each including shipping, so I think that's the way I'm gonna go. Thanks for the advice!

    Second best after Sailun?

Yep, ALMOST all of the Tredit rims are rated for 3750 lb and 110 psi, but not the ones on the 2011 3300CK. Mine are rated for 3580 lb and 80 psi, according to Tredit. The 3580 is stamped on the wheel. If there's an air pressure rating on the wheel, it's hidden by the brakes. I think I'm out of...

    Second best after Sailun?

I just spoke with both Heartland and Tredit. Apparently there's only one 8-lug rim Tredit makes that WON'T support 110 psi...and that's the one I have. :-( SO, looks like I'm back to looking for that second best option!
