    Electrical woes

So my theory was correct. I got to a location where we could get help if needed, and cut the wires shown in the photo, and the circuit breaker now resets, restoring power to the fridge, the tv, and the other outlets. This leaves me with the one outlet behind the loveseat. Of course, this...

    EMS on sale?

I got our Progressive EMW-HW30C from Camping World. They had the best price by far at $208.57. I got it in less than a week. I installed it under the drawers in the bathroom in our 21FBS, and routed the remote display to just under the sink. They now have a lifetime warranty, which is pretty...

    Need to mount a ladder

When I wanted to add a ladder to my 21FBS, I emailed Heartland, and they responded with a very nice engineering drawing showing the location where the ladder could be mounted.

    So, here's my dream

Hello all, I'm a current very happy North Trail owner, and can hardly wait for our 4th season with the trailer to start in 3 months. We've had the rig out on the road for up to 3 weeks at a time in complete comfort, but not always with complete convenience. Here's what the DW and I are hoping...

Feedback to Heartland on 21FBS bed

Hmm... We popped for the upgraded mattress, and have been very happy with it. I also did the lengthening mod to the base and filled in the gap at the head of the bed. I went with stiffeners around the edge of the base in lieu of the legs. So far, so good! We did get a deluxe mattress cover...

    Wiring in an extra battery

I've got dual 12 v batteries, but I had the dealer install them, so they're both the same size. I like the arrangement with the extra capacity. Highly recommended.

    New 09 21fbs

Hey Yosmitesam, If you're interested, we have an entire forum for NorthTrail owners over at http://www.northtrailtalk.com/. We also have the 09 21FBS. The locks for the drawers are built in. You have to close the drawers with a little force to get the latch to engage, and I don't always get...

    Converter Concerns

It seems that the converter behaves just fine on stable shore power, but one of the side effects of being connected to "dirty" power may be the fluctuations in the fan speed.

    Water pump stutters

We just found out that we had a kink in the supply line from the tank to the pump. You might be experiencing the same thing, with slightly different symptoms.

    Converter Concerns

I just got off the phone with my dealer. They said they checked the converter out, and said there is no problem. I know for a fact the fan was "surging" as described above in RVCamper's post, and it definitely emitted a strong electrical smell during one trip. I'm concerned about accepting...

    21FBS dinette cushions, Option??

The radiused cushions were a very pleasant surprise when we got our 21FBS back in April. Much more usable in the dinette, and can even server as a back pillow while sitting up in bed to watch TV!

NorthTrail owners- CHECK YOUR BRAKE WIRING!! Heartland engineers-READ THIS.

Interesting. My Tekonsha P3 has been complaining about an overload condition, which didn't start until after about 1500 miles on the trailer. My 21FBS is in the shop right now, and I've asked them to check into the brake wiring. I'll let you folks know how it goes.

    Converter Concerns

I just got my NT in the shop this morning, and should hear in the next few days. I'll do a follow up post.

    Converter Concerns

Thanks for the info. Mine sounds exactly like RVCamper's .wmv file. I'll contact the dealer and begin the process of getting it taken care of. The dealer I bought from is in Indiana, so hopefully the local Denver dealer won't hassle me about servicing it.

    Converter Concerns

I've noticed the electrical converter on our 21FBS is behaving in a way that seems strange to me. The fan doesn't always come on, but seems to depend on the load applied. This makes sense to me except for the fact that in certain conditions, the fan seems to pulse on and off repeatedly, almost...
